The shoot took place at Faversham House, a grand colonial mansion on five acres of heritage parklands in the middle of the historic town. Giovanni says that it was a very long day with 6 hours spent continuously shooting the three models in six dresses and several head pieces: “The afternoon light was amazing and made for some extraordinary photography especially given the hair styles and head pieces that the girls were wearing.” Holly, from Holly Barker Millinery says that she wanted to design headpieces that pushed the boundaries of “bridal” styles. These would be couture, one of a kind pieces that made a statement. She says that she always encourages brides to think outside of the box and believes that weddings should be about the bride and groom, reflecting their tastes, styles and personalities in as unique a way as possible. Faversham house at York is so beautiful and filled with old world charm, so I wanted striking headpieces that would stand apart from the surroundings but still give a nod to the old world feel. Our whole team works so well together, we all want to create a beautiful end product – gorgeous photos and inspiration for brides to be. We all love what we do and that passion shines through in our respective fields.
