Nothing can welcome your guests quite like one of these handpainted signs

Chalkboard signage is all the rage right now, and Meg, from Chalk of the Town creates some of the most beautiful pieces of craftmanship in Perth! These are real works of art, and very practical also! A nice handwritten welcome sign tells your guests that they've arrived the right place whilst looking AMAZING, and adding a real bespoke feel to your day. Take a look at our selection of Meg's favourite welcome signs...

A chalkboard sign with handwritten lettering will always be a classic

For a touch of extra class, how about adding some hand painted floral work?

The little birds painted on Oliver and Kirsty’s welcome sign were on their wedding invitations and so Meg incorporated them into the sign so that it matched the theme.

Isn’t this the NICEST way to ask your guests to keep their phones away from the ceremony?

It doesn’t get more rustic then a handpainted wooden signboard!

This particular sign was created from an old Jarrah fence with the handlettering burnt into the wood. Meg created this sign for the Bohemian styled shoot on Quarry Farm we featured last November.

The process of burning the letter into the timber is quite time consuming, but when it’s done it looks amazing and absolutely perfect for rustic, bohemian and vintage weddings. Our choice of timber is usually either recycled jarrah (like above), or treated pine (below).

For something truly elegant, try white lettering on timber…

For a modern look, how about white lettering on perspex! Now that’s fancy…
