Tall pale-barked karri trees, reaching heights of 50 m or more, dominate the hilly slopes and valleys whilst the forest floor is covered in wildflowers, orchards and funghi (depending on the season).
The forest is a popular location for south west ceremonies (see Michelle & Brett (2014) and photography sessions. You’ll catch fantastic images of the sunlight streaming through the forest and catching the smooth, pale trunks of the trees.
Access through the forest is largely on dirt roads, but suitable for two-wheel-drive vehicles. A short drive takes you to Boranup Lookout, which gives sweeping views over the forest and the coast west to Hamelin Bay.
