Kim and Kyal’s Big Day at the Sittella Winery, Herne Hill

Kim and Kyal got married in February at the Sitella Winery in Herne Hill, Western Australia. I couldn’t have been more excited for the big day! Gemma (my second shooter) and myself headed on up into the Perth hills to where the girls where all getting ready in Kim’s mother’s beautiful country house.

Kim was looking for a carefree wedding with lots of laughter and all the guests having the time of their lives. Her style vision was romantic—rose gold, dusty pink with plenty of candles. She was lucky to have a friend, Kiera Menagé (one of her bridesmaids) who painted jars, and created the wooden logs and decorative paintbrushes that symbolised Kyal being a painter—which gave the décor a personal touch.

The wedding gown was kept a secret, and it was Kim’s brother who helped her put it on so that the first look was with the bridesmaids. Exciting! After hugs and all that, they picked up some beautiful flowers from Tracy, of Unique Flowers & Fine Art who did an amazing job with the floral decorations, making the place look like a fairytale.

These glamorous hair stylings were the work of one of the bride’s best friends—Kate, from Pura Hair Studio, whilst the makeup was from Make-up Magic by Marian.

After a heartfelt ceremony, the reception was held at the Sittella Winery which Kim and Kyal cannot recommend enough. The grounds are just impeccable and they found Stephanie, Eve and their team truly made the day perfect.

Kim’s favourite moment was the wedding dance. Kim and Kyal took lessons from Amanda, of Chase Dance and even though they were complete beginners, they had the guests in tears.

It was such a pleasure to be a part of this joyful and beautiful day.
