Did Clyde & Shona make the best wedding video of the year?

Clyde & Shona had the craziest wedding I’ve attended all year—just so much fun! Actually it was pretty normal to begin with, the couple got married at the at St Michael the Archangel Chapel in Leederville with the reception at the Aquarium of WA (AQWA), and some photo sessions in between. They wanted to get married at AQWA because Hillary’s was the same place Clyde had proposed.

So we did all that, got our shots at the chapel (which is a beautiful, quaint place by the way, Shona really loved it), in Secret Garden, Gwelup, then City Beach and in the aquarium at AQWA. We got some great shots downstairs before heading up to the reception.

I wanted to get some shots of the cake cutting and the first once the sun set for the best effect, but Clyde and Shona where hurrying me up, and they insisted that they needed to get everyone in a dancing mood as early as possible. That’s when I got interested—“why?”

And so they told me about their fantastic idea for a music video, one which needed everyone to participate. The earlier people got dancing, the easier it would be for them to get involved. I got the idea right away and couldn’t wait for it!

You’ll get to see that video right at the end of this post, don’t miss it. And of course, the credit goes to Jason from Afrotastic Productions.

For the gown, Shona went with light gold, fitted and strapless, beaded and figure hugging dress from Rafinato Bridal. For flowers, she says “less is more!”.

Location: City Beach

These next shots where taken at the so-called, “Secret Garden” in Gwelup. Recently made famous through Instagram, this spot is located in the Careniup Wetlands, in a suburban reserve. Some pathways through the trees lead to a quiet, lush little wonderland with cascading vines, and sunlight shafting through the trees.

Lennon Rego styled the whole venue using ideas from Pinterest and keeping to the general theme of ‘classy party’. The couple bought, borrowed and created all the table elements including the runners, guest seating plan and gift table.

Band: Off the Record

Shona’s nana is 96 years old, and she had the crowd in tears with her speech—both happy and sad!

And now, here is the crazy dance video:
