Loving the Floral Crown at Becky & Adam’s Wedding on the Darlington Estate

Becky—with her awesome floral crown and bohemian-style wedding dress, and Adam—looking sharp with the boys—tied the knot at the Darlington Estate Winery last November. I think it must have been the shortest ceremony I’ve ever attended, leaving us heaps of time for photos around the estate! With a couple this good looking it was all just too easy.

Touches of Norway in Kiara & Åge’s rustic wedding at Fairbridge Village, Pinjarra

Kiara & Åge tied the knot last April in the beautiful red-brick chapel at Fairbridge Village. Åge is Norwegian and so this was one of two weddings planned, one in Australia and one in Norway. Age and Kiara where looking for something quintessentially Australian, and they settled on a wedding at the charming little village of Fairbridge, tucked away amongst the farms and forests around Pinjarra in the south west of Western Australia.

Get photobombed by the fish in AQWA’s new Stingray tank

Remember that viral “stingray photobomb” photo from a couple of years back? Well it may not have been real after all, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your own fishy photos closer to home. AQWA has opened a new, exclusive wedding venue called Sunset Lagoon, featuring a newly developed Stingray Tank that serves as a truly unique ceremony backdrop. For couples looking for some unique photography, this may be the place for you.

Are these Izo Photography’s 12 best images from 2016?

It’s been a busy year for Jimmy & Shona from Izo Photography, shooting 86 weddings and events right across the country from Karratha, Western Australia to Port Douglas, Queensland. Altogether they finished the year with more than two hundred thousand photos. Imagine that! Now try asking them to narrow that down to a handful of favourites? Simply Impossible.

Xenia and Scott’s Vineyard Wedding in the Swan Valley

Xenia & Scott Taylor’s wedding was at the gorgeous Broads Restaurant at Upper Reach Winery and I have to say—it was one of the most perfect of days; relaxing, fun, happy, filled with laughter and tears, with, of course, plenty of dancing and joy. Xenia chose the Upper Reach Winery during a day out in the Swan Valley when she came across the tree overlooking the vineyard and thought it would make the ideal setting for her vows.

Madeleine’s DIY Rustic Tea Favours

These great little wedding favours where made by Madelene for her own wedding. A big tea lover, she got the idea whilst searching on Pinterest. The floral design of the tea label was created on an iPad using a Wacom stylus and the Procreate app which was then added to Pages on her Mac, and the text added. These tags where printed on coloured card stock, tied to small glass jars using natural twine—all of which she purchased from Spotlight.

Madeleine & Naviin’s Orchard Wedding at Core Cider House

Madeleine and Naviin chose Core Cider House as their wedding venue, and it's easy to see why. Growing up together in the Perth hills these high school sweethearts where drawn to the inspiring views and rustic setting of the Cider House apple orchard, whilst the beautiful pond, and laid-back atmosphere (not to mention the incredible cider!) gave plenty of scope for an intimate, pastoral ceremony with plenty of photographic opportunities.
