We’re loving the Havana Tropicana Styling of this Themed Bachelorette Party Shoot

Chanae Hiller from Ahead of Style Hair Artistry, Bianca from Williams & Co Artistry and Ash from The Glam Artist tell us that the inspiration for this shoot came from the carnivale style parties in Rio, the bright eclectic fiestas in Mexico and the tropical vibe of Havana. She says it was hard to put a name on the theme they were trying to create—they wanted it to be colourful and invoke feelings of fun and excitement. Choosing to set it as a Bachelorette/Hens Day instead of a ceremony or reception gave them more scope to fit the theme.

All You Need to Know to Make Your Grand Wedding Exit

You should organize your wedding day to be truly special day for you and your spouse. Of course, the ceremony itself will definitely be the highlight of this day that celebrates love. However, just like you want a grand entrance and a spectacular moment when the cake arrives, you should also make sure that the wedding exit is the perfect finale to this lovely occasion.

Stevie & Jay find the perfect place in Dwellingup for a DIY bush wedding

Stevie & Jay had been searching for a blank canvas wedding venue for a couple of months when they came across Nanga Bush Camp. Straight away Stevie thought it would be perfect, but Jay took some convincing—and I can’t really blame him. Most of us know Nanga from childhood when we attended adventure camps there, and it can take a moment to look again and see it as the perfect venue for a laid-back bush wedding.

Chris & Catherine’s timeless and classic Perth wedding

The wedding of Catherine and Chris took place against the backdrop of some of Perth’s most venerable and iconic locations. From the high modernism of the St Cecilia Catholic Parish; to the Mediterranean classicism of UWA’s Hackett Memorial Buildings; the rustic charm of the Crawley Boatshed and the epic lobby of the Hyatt Regency, photographer Geoffrey Liau Photography captures a truly timeless and classic elegance.

Joanne & Stephen’s intimate ceremony in the Sunken Gardens amphitheater

As if the sandstone architecture of the University of Western Australia wasn’t beautiful enough, the campus also has the Sunken Gardens—an intimate little amphitheatre surrounded by landscaped gardens and terraced lawns that’s been used by Perth brides since the 1940s. It was the perfect place for Joanne and Stephen to tie the knot on a balmy autumn afternoon with every moment of their special day recorded by Anthea from Love Story Photography.

UWA makes for a stunning backdrop at Kristy & Kyle’s Matilda Bay wedding

Kristy & Kyle wanted a riverside ceremony with views of the city skyline, and they came all the way down to Perth from Karratha to get it! They certainly chose one of the most picturesque locations along the Swan River—the Matilda Bay Foreshore. After a beautiful ceremony on the river banks, and a photography session on the UWA grounds, the wedding finished with a stylish reception at the Matilda Bay Restaurant.

Lisa & Joshua’s spectacular beach ceremony at the Aqua Resort in Busselton

Who doesn’t love a ceremony on the sand? Lisa & Josh tied the knot in the April of this year at the Aqua Resort in Busselton. Since they had so many interstate and overseas guests coming for the occasion they wanted to show everyone the best of the Margaret River, and so they turned their wedding day into a wedding week with a welcome party, wine tour, ceremony and after party.

Michael & Kelly’s Swan Valley Wedding at The Vines Resort

Kelly is from Sydney and Michael from Perth. They continued a long-distance relationship for three and a half years before moving interstate to be with one another. They actually booked me for their wedding several years back—so it was something of a long wait, but they got there in the end and it was totally worth it. Kelly was a super stunning bride and Michael a cool character.

“Oh Jake used to run round the farm in the nude”—is this the most brilliant wedding song you’ve heard?

So a friend of ours, Jake York from Western Australia, got married this week to Charlotte Carol from NSW, and we just had to share the song performed by his brother, Sam, and his friend, Lach. These two have a reputation for wedding tributes, but this just may be their best work yet—a two-part song combining country and Aussie hiptop.
